U.S. Army MWR – News BRAC brings upheaval, opportunity to San Antonio

RKJ Construction was featured in U.S. Army MWR for their work on the Fort Sam Houston Theater. There were four buildings that underwent complete renovations, one building that got an addition, and two buildings that were being build from the ground up. The Fort Sam Houston Theater received an expansion in the rear, but the original facade and clay roof with remain the same.

Texas Construction Magazine: Historical Fort Sam Houston Made Modern

RKJ Construction has renovated about two dozen buildings at Fort Sam Houston. These are some of the oldest, historically significant structures in the U.S. Army’s inventory that date back to almost as early as the post 1876 origin. These buildings are being transformed into modern, energy-efficient offices, barracks and other facilities for federal employees and military personnel.
